Brigadier General Ali Reza Sabahifard, the commander of the Air Defense Force, underscored the importance of these advancements, stating that they play a vital role in ensuring Iran's security.

"The measures taken to improve radar, missile, and drone capabilities are in line with the perceived and emerging threats," Sabahifard said, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to generate power to address a wide range of challenges.

On August 7, a notable development occurred as the Army's Air Defense Force in eastern Iran was equipped with state-of-the-art indigenous radar, missile, and drone systems. This new equipment was officially received on Wednesday morning, with Sabahifard overseeing the ceremony.

Speaking to the importance of these upgrades, Sabahifard confirmed that new defensive technologies and achievements are expected to be unveiled soon. This announcement aligns with earlier statements from Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, the Deputy Commander of the Air Defense Force, who indicated that the Islamic Republic's Army unit is poised to integrate additional advanced equipment in the near future.

"The production of ground-based equipment and up-to-date missile systems with a longer range are on our agenda," Elhami noted, highlighting the ongoing refinement of the Air Defense Force's capabilities. He reiterated the unit's focus on enhancing its operational strength across various domains, including drones, radars, and information-gathering systems.

Moreover, Elhami hinted at a potential ceremony to introduce new equipment during Air Defense Week, expressing confidence in the readiness of various tools designed for combat operations. "A lot of equipment is ready to join the combat section of the Air Defense Force," he asserted.

Elhami reinforced the self-sufficiency of Iran’s defense sector, stating, "We are 100% self-sufficient and we are not dependent on foreign equipment, and the security of our air borders is not dependent on foreign countries."
