SAEDNEWS: Iran would respond in kind if the Israeli regime carries out any mischief against the Islamic Republic, President Pezeshkian told reporters on Tuesday.
According to SAEDNEWS, reported by Mehr News Agency, President Pezeshkian announced that Iran will respond decisively if the Israeli regime conducts any aggressive actions against the Islamic Republic. He made this statement while visiting the Hamas office in Tehran and speaking to reporters.
Pezeshkian criticized the West for supporting Israel despite its actions that displace people from their homes. He said, "Governments and powers that claim to be defenders of human rights and democracy are themselves violators of these rights." He questioned the silence of those who claim to protect the rights of women, children, and all human beings while arming Israel.
He emphasized that true peace can only be achieved by establishing justice and human rights for everyone.
Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s position, stating that if Israel were to attack Iran, the country would respond in kind. On October 1, Iran launched a retaliatory strike against occupied Palestine using its own missiles, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reporting that 90% of the missiles hit their intended targets.
This operation was in response to Israeli actions, including the assassinations of key figures such as Hamas’ chief, Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander, Abbas Nilforooshan.
The Iranian Defense Minister explained that the target of Iran's recent attack included an intelligence headquarters and three military bases belonging to Israel. "Operation True Promise II was carried out with over 90% success and was fully compliant with international law," he said, adding that no civilian sites were targeted during the operation.
Iranian officials have warned the Zionist regime of severe consequences for any further actions. They stated that Iran would target critical infrastructure in occupied Palestine if necessary.
