SAEDNEWS: The Iranian acting foreign minister stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to respond appropriately to what they consider the criminal and aggressive actions of Israel in the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyah.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent post on his X account, Ali Bagheri Kani, the acting foreign minister of Iran, expressed strong condemnation regarding the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the Political Bureau Chief of Hamas, which took place in Tehran on Wednesday.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns in its strongest possible terms the criminal act and emphasizes its right to respond proportionately," the acting Iranian foreign minister asserted, reflecting the gravity with which Iran views the incident.
He further urged the international community to take action, stating, "The UN Security Council must live up to its responsibility to deal with the threat to international peace and security, which is exacerbated by the ongoing terrorist and aggressive actions of the occupying Israeli regime." This call highlights Iran's position on the necessity of accountability and intervention in what it perceives as violations of global peace and security.
