SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has told the Western countries to stop supporting the criminal Zionist regime and arming it before it is too late.
According to SAEDNEWS, Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has called on Western countries to stop their support for what he describes as a “criminal Zionist regime” before it is too late. His comments were made during his address to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva on Monday.
Ghalibaf highlighted that the Zionist regime believed it could eliminate the Resistance in Lebanon following the assassination of former Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. However, he emphasized that recent defeats on the ground and Hezbollah's drone attacks against Golani Division soldiers demonstrate that Hezbollah remains strong and has robust backing from the Lebanese people.
During his speech, Ghalibaf pointed out the summit's theme of using science and innovation for a sustainable future. He criticized that, instead of promoting peace, science is being misused to support war, civilian casualties, and state terrorism by the Zionist regime.
"I came here directly from Beirut, among the ruins of bombings that killed civilians and displaced more than a million people," Ghalibaf said. "I am the voice of the oppressed and powerful people of Lebanon, the people who are oppressed and waiting for the cowardly attack of the American fighter jets at any moment, but they have not hesitated to defeat the greatest enemy of humanity with authority and historic will."
He reaffirmed Iran's support for any ceasefire agreed upon by the Lebanese government, Parliament, and the Resistance Movement. Ghalibaf stated, "To be honest with you, we are facing a criminal Zionist regime that not only has killed more than 10,000 children but also is proud of it. We are facing a criminal regime that does not value any legal and moral standards."
He added, "We are facing a criminal regime that does not shy away from burning civilians alive in the refugee camps. We are facing a regime that used to usurp Palestinian lands and destroy their houses, but now it is safely destroying cities and infrastructures with American weapons."
Ghalibaf warned that if the current situation continues, the world will encounter a deep crisis, predicting that ongoing aggression from the Zionist regime could lead to escalating tensions and endless military conflicts in the region. He concluded by stating, "We will fulfill our historical duty and we are waiting to see what the world will do to defend the cause of human rights."
