SAEDNEWS; Volleyball club Foolad Sirjan defeated their fellow Iranian rivals Shahdab Yazd in straight sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-23) in an all-Iranian final of the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship.
According to SAEDNEWS, Foolad Sirjan has emerged as the champion of the 2024 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, defeating their fellow Iranian team, Shahdab Yazd, in a thrilling final. The match, held on Sept. 15, saw Foolad Sirjan win in straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-23.
This year marked the 24th edition of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, which is an important annual tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the Iran Volleyball Association (IRIVF). The event took place in Yazd, Iran, from September 8 to 15, showcasing some of the best volleyball teams in Asia.
With this victory, Foolad Sirjan and Shahdab Yazd, as the top two teams in Asia, have both qualified for the upcoming 2024 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship. In the bronze medal match earlier in the day, the Indonesian team Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi defeated Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Volleyball Club 3-0.
