SAEDNEWS: Abbas Araghchi, the Secretary of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, has stated that the Israeli regime will face serious consequences for the assassination of senior Palestinian resistance leader Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian territory.

The senior diplomat, who is seen as a potential candidate for the next Iranian foreign minister in the upcoming administration, asserted that the Israeli regime will ultimately fail in its goal of hindering the operations of the new government in Iran.
Haniyeh, who was serving as the political bureau chief of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, was tragically assassinated alongside one of his bodyguards at their residence in Tehran during the early hours of Wednesday.
Earlier today, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, emphasized in a statement that avenging the martyrdom of Haniyeh, which occurred on Iranian soil, is an obligation.
The Leader pledged to seek retribution for the blood of the 'dear guest' Haniyeh, warning the Israeli usurping regime of the threat of 'harsh punishment.'
