SAEDNEWS: During a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Russia, the CEO of the Caspian Oil Company highlighted opportunities to expand exploration activities and develop hydrocarbon structures in the southern Caspian Sea basin.
According to Saednews, Mohammad Hossein Daneshfar, CEO of the Caspian Oil Company, met with Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, on Saturday at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow to discuss oil and gas development opportunities in the Caspian Sea region.
Daneshfar, who is visiting Russia to attend an international conference in St. Petersburg on shipbuilding and the design of advanced equipment for offshore oil and gas development, briefed the ambassador on the company’s activities, plans, ongoing initiatives, and potential for expanding oil and gas operations in the Caspian region.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed existing capacities and opportunities and exchanged views on expanding exploration activities, developing hydrocarbon resources, and establishing the offshore infrastructure required for oil and gas operations in the Caspian Sea.
They also discussed ways to capitalize on the Caspian Sea’s strategic importance and draw on the capabilities of Russian companies to advance energy development in the region.
The meeting aimed to explore opportunities to expand Iran’s oil and gas industry activities in the southern Caspian Sea and follow up on the region’s existing development potential.
