SAEDNEWS: Cats and dogs are domesticated animals that humans love very much. You may find it interesting in this article to get to know the tallest cat in the world.
According to Saed News, citing Bitoteh, do you think your cat is large and overweight? In any case, you cannot compare it to Fenrir. The fluffy Fenrir is approximately 18.83 inches (47.83 cm) tall and has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the tallest living domestic cat in the world.
According to Guinness, his name, Fenrir, is taken from one of the names of Saturn’s moons. However, like many cats, he also has several family nicknames.

Guinness featured Fenrir in a video, describing this giant kitten as living with Dr. William John Powers in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Powers calls him “Gordaloo the Great” or simply “Gordaloo.” Fenrir has grown much like Clifford, the big red dog. He is a Savannah cat of F2 generation.
Savannah cats are a hybrid between a domestic cat and a serval (a wild African cat species from the felid family). The F2 designation indicates the generation level of the cat. Although Savannah cats are generally tall, averaging 14–17 inches (35–43 cm), Fenrir is about one inch taller than the upper average range.

Powers explains that Fenrir’s height is measured from the shoulder blades to the tip of the paws when standing on all fours.
Fenrir’s size allows him to do things other cats cannot. In a video, he can be seen easily standing on his hind legs. According to Powers, because he is a big eater, he tends to steal items from the table.
Fenrir is still growing, and although he currently holds the record for the tallest living cat, his brother Arcturus—who sadly died in a house fire in 2017—holds the record for the tallest cat in history. Arcturus was about 19.05 inches (48.4 cm) tall. Although they did not live at the same time, they shared the same parents.

Powers also lives with another cat named Altair, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest tail among living domestic cats. His tail measures 16.07 inches (40.82 cm). He previously had another cat named Cygnus, who was lost in the same fire. Cygnus still holds the record for the longest tail in history, measuring about 17.58 inches (44.65 cm). Both Altair and Cygnus were Maine Coon cats.
In the video, Powers emotionally speaks about trying to save his cats during the fire. He expresses uncertainty about adopting new cats, saying he knows his beloved pets can never truly be replaced. He explains that at first, owning cats was difficult, and he even disliked the new cats he adopted because they were all different. However, the first cat he adopted after the fire, named Hyperion, helped him heal emotionally.
