Araghchi: Tehran Quadrilateral Meeting Opens New Path for Regional Dialogue

According to Saednews, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said a recent meeting in Tehran involving Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey offered an important opportunity to strengthen dialogue on regional peace and security and coordinate efforts to address shared threats and challenges.

He described the agreement to continue consultations as a significant step toward greater regional cooperation.

In a message published on Instagram, Araghchi stressed that translating this opportunity into lasting cooperation would require a shared understanding of fundamental principles, confidence-building, mutual respect for national sovereignty and concrete commitments.

He said Iran believes sustainable regional security must be achieved through the participation of regional countries, without military presence or interference by powers from outside the region.

According to Araghchi, this approach is rooted in the principle that regional nations must take responsibility for shaping their own future.

He also emphasized that confronting what he described as the Zionist regime’s aggression is essential to safeguarding the independence and sovereignty of states and preventing the further spread of war. He added that Iran’s neighboring countries remain a priority for Tehran.
