SAEDNEWS: Israel Begins Parliamentary Elections Amid Security and Economic Challenges

Israel Holds Knesset Elections

According to Saednews, Voting began on Tuesday in Israel’s parliamentary elections, as settlers in the occupied territories cast their ballots for the 26th Knesset amid security concerns, political uncertainty and economic challenges.

According to Al Jazeera, more than 7.33 million people are eligible to vote, with 38 electoral lists competing for 120 seats in parliament. The Central Elections Committee reported that the number of eligible voters stands at 7,331,981, an increase of 543,177 compared with the November 2022 elections.

All settlers aged 18 and above whose names appear on the electoral register are eligible to participate in the vote.

Television networks in Israel are expected to release exit poll estimates immediately after the main polling stations close at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. These projections are statistical estimates and should not be regarded as official election results.

Official results will be released gradually overnight and on Wednesday as ballots from regular polling stations are counted and the relevant records are transferred to the Central Elections Committee. The counting of ballots cast in double envelopes and investigations into potential violations will continue over the following days.

According to the announced timetable, the final official results are expected to be published no later than Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
