Ceasefire Violated, U.S. Military Vessels Targeted, Says Khatam-al Anbia Headquarters Spokesman

According to the political service of Saed News Agency, Second Brigadier General Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that the “U.S. invading, terrorist, and pirate army” violated a ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker traveling from Iran’s coastal waters in the Jask region toward the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz near the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. He further claimed that, simultaneously, non-military areas along the coasts of Hormozgan Province, including Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island, were subjected to air attacks in coordination with some regional countries.

He added that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately carried out a counteroperation, striking U.S. naval vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the port of Chabahar, causing them significant damage.

The spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters concluded by stating that the “criminal and aggressive United States and its supporting countries” must understand that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as in the past, will respond decisively and without hesitation to any act of aggression or violation.
