SAEDNEWS: Trump Likely to Accept Iran’s Proposal to End War, Former Senior U.S. Diplomat Says
According to the politics service of the Saed News Agency, and as reported by Entekhab, Henry S. Ensher, a former senior U.S. State Department official, said Iran’s proposal to end the war is likely to be accepted by the Trump administration in order to reduce the growing economic impacts threatening the global economy.
Trump and his senior security advisers are currently reviewing Iran’s proposal.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Henry S. Ensher stated: “The top priority should be reopening the Strait of Hormuz.”
He added that the nuclear issue would be more complicated, but “reaching an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz would be easier.”
When asked whether he believes Trump will accept Iran’s proposal, Ensher said: “I think it will ultimately come to that… I assume they will place the nuclear negotiations on a different timeline… the Strait of Hormuz is more ready for a quicker solution.”
