SAEDNEWS: Iranian UN Envoy: U.S. Naval Blockade Violates Ceasefire, Must Be Lifted to Resume Negotiations
According to the Politics Service of Saed News Agency, Amir Saeid Iravani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told reporters on Tuesday local time:
“As soon as Washington ends the maritime blockade, I think the next round of negotiations will be held in Islamabad.”
According to Tabnak, the Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations stated:
“The United States initiated war against Iran, and if they want to return to the negotiating table and find a political solution, we will be ready.”
He added:
“If they want to enter into war, Iran will also be prepared for it.”
In response to a question about how hopeful he is regarding the resumption of negotiations, he said:
“Time should be given; we are hopeful.”
