SAEDNEWS: “The Chief Justice stated: For now, I have removed everyone with security-related issues from the amnesty list and said it’s not their turn yet. Unless very exceptional cases arise later, which would be a separate matter.”
According to Saed News Political Service, the head of Iran’s judiciary stated that, unfortunately, some individuals today, in unison with the enemy, are spreading despair and hopelessness in society, especially among young people. He added that others act as servants and mercenaries for the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime and the United States, targeting the revolution’s central pillar, the leadership, and showing disrespect to the nation’s sacred values.
Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimeen Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i, speaking on Monday, February 20, at a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, congratulated the nation on the Fajr Decade and the anniversary of February 11. He said: “During the era of tyranny, foreigners dominated all aspects of our country; they appointed our kings, ministers, and representatives. They imposed capitulations and allowed their citizens to commit any crime on our soil. Even in military affairs, they dictated terms. Agriculture, industry, and healthcare were in a disastrous state. The nation’s resources were plundered by outsiders. In these circumstances, the hand of divine power emerged through a religious authority and a divinely guided leader, Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), and the people, following him, expelled the tyrants and oppressors from the country relying solely on God’s infinite power. Today, thanks to the Islamic Revolution, our country enjoys full independence and dignity, leaving a lasting mark on the oppressors, who still seek revenge against the Iranian nation.”
Writing in Mizan, the judiciary chief criticized those who have forgotten the country’s dire situation under the Pahlavi regime. He said: “Unfortunately, some have forgotten the catastrophic state of the country during the tyranny and fail to recognize the achievements we have attained through the Islamic Revolution. These individuals today, in harmony with the enemy, spread despair among society and youth. Others serve as mercenaries for the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime and the U.S., attacking the foundation of the revolution—the leadership—and disrespecting our sacred values. Under these circumstances, our responsibility is extremely serious. We must engage in a clear and determined effort to explain the truth to all, particularly the youth, so they understand where we came from and what we have achieved. Simultaneously, we are obliged to respond decisively and wisely to those who, knowingly or unknowingly, play into the enemy’s hands. Where necessary, we wield the sword of justice; where needed, we endure hardships to guide them back to the right path.”
Regarding cases involving rioters, Mohseni-Eje’i stated: “Despite all the follow-ups, progress in handling some cases involving active elements in unrest has not been as fast as expected. I understand the workload is high and some cases require further investigation, but all judicial bodies must, with utmost diligence, lawfulness, and fairness, expedite decisions on cases involving active rioters, especially those who committed crimes. The public expects the judiciary to act decisively, though our enemies prefer delays in holding violent rioters and terrorists accountable.”
He added: “The judiciary’s media center must also enhance its efforts to explain and document the actions and crimes of rioters, in coordination with relevant bodies. The enemy, through its media empire, seeks to distort facts and reverse the roles of oppressors and victims.”
Highlighting preventive measures to protect citizens’ security, he warned: “Evidence shows that the enemy is again trying to threaten public security by guiding domestic elements. All relevant bodies, inside and outside the judiciary, must take preventive measures and deal appropriately with anyone preparing to endanger public safety.”
Mohseni-Eje’i also noted: “The enemy currently focuses on tightening the public’s livelihood. Some may inadvertently or deliberately aid this effort by disrupting the economy, hoarding goods, and increasing pressure on citizens. All relevant bodies must take preventive action and confront those who impose undue hardship, whether acting on enemy directives or personal greed.”
He concluded: “For now, all individuals with security-related issues have been excluded from the pardon list. They are not eligible at this time, except in very special cases, which will be considered separately.”
