According to Saednews, Du‘āʾ al-Iḥtijāb (دعای احتجاب) is a well-known supplication in Islamic devotional literature. The first version is attributed to the late scholar Qāḍī (مرحوم قاضی) and is considered effective for increasing spiritual illumination of the heart. The second version is attributed to Imam ʿAlī (علیهالسلام) and is believed to serve as a means of protection from dangers and seeking refuge in God from calamities.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ یَا مَنِ احْتَجَبَ بِشُعَاعِ نُورِهِ عَنْ نَوَاظِرِ خَلْقِهِ
O God, I ask You—O You Who are hidden from the sight of creation by the radiance of Your light.
یَا مَنْ تَسَرْبَلَ بِالْجَلَالِ وَالْکِبْرِیَاءِ وَاشْتَهَرَ بِالتَّجَبُّرِ فِی قُدْسِهِ
O You Who are clothed in majesty and greatness, and known for sovereignty in Your holiness.
یَا مَنْ تَعَالَى بِالْجَلَالِ وَالْکِبْرِیَاءِ فِی تَفَرُّدِ مَجْدِهِ
O You Who are exalted in majesty and greatness in the uniqueness of Your glory.
یَا مَنِ انْقَادَتِ الْأُمُورُ بِأَزِمَّتِهَا طَوْعًا لِأَمْرِهِ
O You to Whose command all affairs willingly submit.
یَا مَنْ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُونَ مُجِیبَاتٌ لِدَعْوَتِهِ
O You by Whose call the heavens and the earth stand obedient.
یَا مَنْ زَیَّنَ السَّمَاءَ بِالنُّجُومِ الطَّالِعَهِ وَجَعَلَهَا هَادِیَهً لِخَلْقِهِ
O You Who adorned the sky with shining stars and made them guidance for creation.
یَا مَنْ أَنَارَ الْقَمَرَ فِی سَوَادِ اللَّیْلِ
O You Who illuminated the moon in the darkness of night.
یَا مَنْ أَنَارَ الشَّمْسَ وَجَعَلَهَا مَعَاشًا لِخَلْقِهِ
O You Who made the sun a source of life and livelihood for creation.
یَا مَنْ أَسْتَوْجَبَ الشُّکْرَ بِنَشْرِ نِعَمِهِ
O You Who deserves gratitude for the spread of Your blessings.
أَسْأَلُکَ بِمَعَاقِدِ الْعِزِّ مِنْ عَرْشِکَ وَبِکُلِّ اسْمٍ لَکَ
I ask You by the foundations of glory from Your Throne and by every Name belonging to You...
أَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
To send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
وَأَنْ تَصْرِفَ عَنِّی وَعَنْ جَمِیعِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَمِیعَ الْآفَاتِ وَالْأَمْرَاضِ وَالذُّنُوبِ
And to turn away from me and all believing men and women every affliction, illness, and sin...
إِنَّکَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Indeed, You are God; there is no deity except You.
