Veresk Bridge and Waterfall

One of the most iconic and historic landmarks in Iran’s railway network is the Veresk Bridge, built during Reza Shah’s era to connect two large Abbasabad mountains. Standing 110 meters above the valley below, no metal was used in its construction. It played a vital role during World War II in aiding the Allied forces—hence the nickname, Victory Bridge.

Nearby, you’ll also find the Veresk Waterfall (or Cheshmeh Ali Waterfall), which is seasonal and stands 20 meters tall. It’s located east of the village beneath Atabak Peak.

Veresk Bridge is 45 km south of Zirab and 85 km from Qaem Shahr. The waterfall is located along the river extension of the Veresk Bridge in Veresk Village.
