Two-Headed Calf Born in Indonesia Draws Crowds to Watch

According to Saed News’ social affairs section, residents of a village in East Java, Indonesia, were astonished and excited to witness the birth of a female calf with two heads, which they now consider a symbol of good fortune.

The seemingly healthy calf has four functioning eyes and two separate mouths, with no other visible abnormalities besides its two heads.

Villagers from Pondok Wolu rushed to the owner’s farm as soon as they heard about the unusual birth, eager to see this remarkable creature up close.

Interestingly, the calf is able to nurse with both mouths, and locals believe its birth will bring prosperity and blessings to the community. While calves typically stand and walk within minutes of birth, this two-headed calf could only stand with the help of its owner after three days.

Experts and veterinarians note that two-headed animals each have a separate brain controlling part of the body, which is why most survive only a few months. However, the fate of the Pondok Wolu calf remains uncertain.
