SAEDNEWS: 25-Year-Old Luti Maas Opens Up About the Painful Control in the Modeling Industry

Young Model Exposes the Ruthless Side of the Modeling Industry

According to Saed News’ social section, talking about her bitter experiences in the modeling industry brought 25-year-old Lottie Moss to tears.

Lottie Moss admitted that working in the modeling world had left her depressed and desperate. The young model is the half-sister of Kate Moss, the iconic supermodel of the 1990s.

She revealed that the hardships of the modeling industry led her to turn to drugs. After years of dissatisfaction, Lottie spoke candidly about her past in modeling and her turn to substance use. Following in her older sister’s footsteps from a young age, she first appeared in fashion magazines in 2011, when she served as a bridesmaid in Kate Moss’ wedding photos.

A few years later, she began her career as a model, making her magazine cover debut in Teen Vogue. In 2021, Lottie decided to permanently leave the modeling world.

The Rules and Pressure of the Modeling Industry

Lottie disclosed that at just 18 years old, she was instructed to maintain a waist measurement of only 58 centimeters. Despite her natural slimness and beauty, Lottie never felt healthy or happy. The pressures of the industry eventually led her to drug addiction.

Recalling those times, she said: “I always had to behave in a certain way. I couldn’t gain or lose even a single size. I had a personal trainer and nutrition sessions. I wasn’t allowed to do anything with my hair that the team didn’t approve of. I wasn’t allowed to spend time with certain people.”

Now 25, Lottie added: “My life was very controlled. I would go to fashion shoots, but I would cry before and after. I always pretended to be happy. I didn’t realize how depressed I had become. When I quit modeling in 2021, I had no agency to tell me what to do. When you have these resources from a young age, you get used to them. I was very lost. I lost my way and spent time with very bad people.”

Today, Lottie credits her recovery and health to her close friend, who warned her about the wrong path she was on. She said: “She was the person who gave me the warning. Lou told me I needed help. So I went to rehab. That was exactly what I needed.”
