According to Saed News’ social affairs service, a 33-year-old Russian woman, who had been held captive for years after being abducted by a man, has finally managed to escape.

The woman reported to police that she had witnessed horrific crimes.

The man accused of imprisoning her and exploiting her as a sex slave is 51-year-old Vladimir Cheskidov, who is currently under armed supervision in a psychiatric hospital. He faces criminal investigations for murder, sexual assault, and kidnapping.

The victim claimed that Cheskidov had killed another woman named Oksana and dismembered her. Police have reportedly recovered some of Oksana’s body parts.

Local reports indicate that Valentina, the mother of Cheskidov, lived with her son and was aware of the abductions. She was taken in for questioning and escorted by detectives to her home.

The woman was able to escape only when Cheskidov, heavily intoxicated, forgot to lock the door of the room where she was being held.

She persuaded Cheskidov’s mother that both of them were in danger, prompting Valentina to contact the police.

After 14 years in captivity, the victim was finally reunited with her sister. She described the terrifying control Cheskidov had over her:

"He always carried a knife and followed me everywhere. There was always a knife in his hand."

The 33-year-old explained that she met Cheskidov at the age of 19 when he invited her for a drink at the train station:

"Then he invited me to his home, and everything started from there."

Cheskidov reportedly threatened her with a knife, bound her hands, feet, and mouth, and locked her in a room. She was occasionally allowed out to perform household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and caring for his mother.

The victim said she endured repeated sexual abuse throughout her captivity.

The room where she was held was reportedly fitted with multiple locks and chains. She also claimed that Cheskidov forced her to drink vodka and beat her severely.

Coming from a troubled family, she explained that, aside from her sister, no relatives had searched for her. Her disappearance had been reported in 2009, but police were unable to trace her or the other missing woman.

Ongoing Investigations

Local reports also indicate investigations into the fate of Cheskidov’s father and former wife. It is believed that his wife died after falling from a window, while his father slipped and fell, resulting in his death.
