SAEDNEWS: An 80-year-old German man has been named the world’s stingiest millionaire. He scours garbage to feed and clothe himself.
According to SaedNews’ society desk, an 80-year-old German man has claimed the title of the world’s stingiest millionaire. To feed and clothe himself, he scavenges through trash.
Heinz B., an octogenarian from Germany, may look like a poor man, but appearances can be deceiving. Despite having only $16 in his checking account, Heinz has withdrawn all the funds from his bankbooks to purchase his tenth home, a property valued at $756,000. Additionally, he has set aside roughly €100,000 in a time-deposit account to earn monthly interest.
Heinz says he has spent his entire life saving money to afford these homes and believes that he doesn’t need cash to live. He sources his food and clothing from dumpsters, a habit he not only accepts but actually enjoys.
In a recent interview with Germany’s Bild newspaper, he explained, “Maybe I’ll buy some oil when it runs out. But most of my food comes from trash bins. People waste so much—throwing away enough food to feed an entire family. For instance, they buy a pack of sausages, eat one, and throw the rest away.”
This wealthy German man owns eight villas and two apartments. Whenever any of his properties require repairs, he rides his bicycle—purchased for his commuting needs—to the homes and personally takes care of the maintenance.
