SAEDNEW: Studies Reveal the Word ‘Love’ Was Spoken Nearly 630 Times by These Death Row Inmates

Strange but Bitterly True: The Final Words of the Condemned

According to Saed News’ social service report, researchers have discovered that death row inmates use the word “love” three times more often than “sorry,” suggesting that many still believe in their innocence and refuse to admit guilt.

Scientists’ studies show that expressions of love are the most common words spoken by inmates in their final moments.

Newsweek analyzed the final statements of 446 death row inmates in Texas to identify the words they used most frequently in their last moments. The study found that the word “love” was spoken nearly 630 times. On average, inmates used “love” three times more than “sorry,” highlighting that many maintained a belief in their own innocence.

The second most frequently used word was “thank you,” heard approximately 243 times across the 446 final statements.

In addition, the phrase “I’m ready” appeared about 65 times, signaling inmates’ acceptance of death.

Interestingly, the word “I’m scared” was mentioned only once among all 446 inmates, a striking detail in its own right.

Religious faith was also prominent. Words like “God,” as well as terms such as “heaven,” “hell,” and “Christ,” were commonly spoken in these final moments.

Among these inmates, 20 mentioned the word “end,” while only 12 referred to “regret” before their executions.
