Saed News: During the reign of Naser al-Din Shah, thanks to the influence of his daughter Taj al-Saltaneh—who was educated and supported women's freedom—modern European-style fashions were introduced to Iran. In fact, Taj al-Saltaneh can be considered the first fashion designer of Iranian-European clothing styles.
According to the History section of Saed News, quoting Khabar Online, Taj al-Saltaneh, daughter of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, was one of the Shah’s most beloved daughters. Unlike most women of her time—both inside the harem and outside—she lived in a way that made her known in Iranian women's history as an intellectual, a critic, and a fearless figure. She was a supporter of the Constitutional Revolution and a member of the Women's Freedom Association, and she enjoyed writing her memoirs.
