SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei says Tehran and Baku are committed to using all available capacities to enhance bilateral ties and expand cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei highlighted the strong determination of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan to enhance their relationship and deepen cooperation across multiple multilateral platforms.
In a message posted on X late Monday, Baghaei noted that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, on his first official bilateral visit to Azerbaijan, arrived in Baku Monday morning. During the visit, Araghchi held “very good and fruitful” discussions with Azerbaijan’s President, Foreign Minister, Parliament Speaker, and Deputy Prime Minister.
Baghaei added that Araghchi’s visit to Baku State University — which included meetings with professors and students and the unveiling of the Azerbaijani translation of The Power of Negotiation — served as the concluding event of this brief yet productive one-day trip.
He emphasized that both Iran and Azerbaijan remain committed to leveraging all available capacities to elevate bilateral relations and reinforce cooperation in multilateral formats, with the aim of safeguarding regional peace and stability.
