SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, met and held talks in Paris on Wednesday.
The foreign ministers of Iran and France held talks on developments in the West Asian region, the Ukrainian conflict, the international security situation, and Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. Both sides emphasized the need for responsible efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen international peace and justice.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Iran and France were reviewed, with both parties underlining the importance of continued consultations to remove obstacles and facilitate cooperation.
The ministers reiterated their commitment to addressing regional challenges and fostering dialogue, stressing that collaborative efforts are essential for stability and justice in the international arena.
Referring to the unjustified detention of Iranian citizen Mahdieh Esfandiari, the Iranian Foreign Minister welcomed France’s decision to release her on parole and urged the acceleration of procedures for her full acquittal and return to Iran.
