Pakistan’s Culture Minister Lands in Shiraz for Fajr International Film Festival

SAEDNEWS: Pakistan’s Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, has arrived in the southwestern Iranian city of Shiraz to participate in the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

Aurangzeb Khan was formally welcomed by Hojjat Rezaei, deputy governor of Fars Province for political and security affairs, upon his arrival on Sunday evening.

He is set to participate in an international film cooperation meeting, attended by cultural officials, ministers, and heads and representatives of film industries from 15 countries. The meeting will be chaired by Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Abbas Salehi.

The Fajr International Film Festival, which opened on November 26 at the Honar-Shahr-e Aftab Complex in Shiraz, will conclude on Tuesday evening.

Recognized as one of the world’s premier film events, the FIFF attracts cultural, artistic, media, and cinema professionals from across the globe. This year, around 200 international guests are in attendance.

For the first time, a Pakistani film delegation is participating in the 43rd edition of the festival.
