In order to perform on stage and host programs legally, she changed her birth year in court to 1959. Seda does not have a university education and graduated from Çemberlitaş Girls’ High School.
She started her artistic journey singing at wedding halls. After years of performing at weddings, she began singing in casinos and nightclubs. Eventually, Seda Sayan performed at one of Istanbul’s largest casinos, Maxim, gaining exposure to film and television producers. Around this time, she also began working on releasing music albums.
Seda has been a television host for 26 years. Since 2018, she has been a judge on Turkey’s “O Ses” (The Voice), alongside Murat Boz, Hadise Açıkgöz, and Beyazıt Öztürk.
