President: If We Become a Refuge For the People, They Will Never Turn Toward Foreigners

According to Saednews, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, in a “Neighborhood-Based Security” meeting attended by a number of officials, emphasized the necessity of enhancing public participation in various aspects of governance.

The President, referring to the importance of public involvement in security, stated: If we can involve the people in decision-making, oversight, management, security, and health, it will create a multiplied strength for the country. This participation is not only a great support for the system but also an effective strategy on the path to sustainable national development.

Pezeshkian noted that education must lay the groundwork for raising a generation committed and faithful to the country’s ideals and values. He said: Skill training for students through improving the quality of education in schools is seriously on the government’s agenda; a generation must be nurtured that, besides being capable, is also devoted to the principles and values of the country.

In another part of his remarks, the President highlighted the unique role of mosques in preserving social cohesion and unity, saying: As a popular institution, the mosque can be a center of solidarity and harmony in society. Strengthening this role is one of the major strategies for establishing lasting and community-based security.

Pezeshkian, appreciating the exemplary unity and support of the people for the system, government, and leadership in these sensitive times, remarked: The Iranian nation has always supported the system, revolution, and leadership during difficult times. This social capital must be valued, and the people should be involved in national decision-making. Public participation in providing security guarantees its strength and stability.

The President also stressed the need to reinforce unity of speech in official and national platforms, stating: It is essential that voices of unity and convergence be heard from pulpits, national media, and Friday prayers, and that divisive and provocative statements be strictly avoided. This is in line with the directives of the Supreme Leader, who has always emphasized national solidarity and social cohesion.

Pezeshkian further emphasized that this great popular capital must be preserved and strengthened. People must see in our words and actions that we have come to serve them. If we become the refuge of the people, they will never turn toward foreigners. The more space that is given to people for active participation, the more the system’s strength will increase accordingly.
