According to the Science Service of SaedNews, Shaun the Sheep is a British stop-motion animated silent comedy television series developed by Aardman Animations. It is a spin-off from the Wallace and Gromit film series. The series’ main character is Shaun, who was first introduced in the short film A Close Shave (1995) and in Shopper 13 from the Wallace and Gromit series, released in 2002. The show focuses on the adventures of a flock on a farm in northern England, led by their clever leader, Shaun.

The series premiered on March 5, 2007, in the UK on CBBC and has also aired on BBC Two. Since 2020, it has been available globally on Netflix. In March 2024, it was announced that the seventh season is in development and will air in 2025. With 170 episodes across six seasons, Shaun the Sheep is one of the longest-running animated series on British television.
