SAEDNEWS: This devoted couple chose to hold their wedding at the very place where they first met.
According to Saed News, a nature-loving couple decided to exchange wedding vows amid snowfall in the coldest part of their country, hoping to bring warmth to the icy region and prove that nothing could diminish the intensity of their love.
Sergey and Svetlana, a Russian couple living in Moscow, held their wedding ceremony in the snow and bitter cold of Murmansk, in the far northwest of Russia, to create a memorable start to their married life.

Wedding at Minus 40 Degrees
The couple’s love story began in this very region, which inspired them to return to the place where they first met. They had initially crossed paths during a business trip to the port city of Murmansk. For their wedding ceremony, they traveled from Moscow with a photographer and started their married life in temperatures of minus 40 degrees Celsius.
Murmansk, located near the borders of Norway and Finland, is blanketed in snow this time of year and is one of Russia’s main reindeer habitats.
Svetlana, 27, said she would never forget the winter beauty of the region and wanted to capture the memory of this landscape along with the beginning of their married life. She also mentioned that Alejandro Iñárritu’s latest film inspired their decision to hold a wedding in snow and freezing temperatures.

The film “The Revenant”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, set in a cold and snowy environment, influenced the couple so much that they were determined to pursue their idea of a winter wedding. However, the extreme cold meant they could only stay outside for 17 minutes.
The couple plans to host a second wedding celebration in Moscow during the summer for their families. Photographer Alexander Krvazhev captured the romantic moments of the young couple in the snowy landscape, including a reindeer that approached them.
