Initially, the statement crafted included the words 'we' and 'our,' indicating a united front, but the prince chose not to go through with it.
Mr. Jobson elaborates, stating, “After all, it was his wife who'd manipulated the snap and nothing to do with him, and if the press found out that he was covering for the princess, the speculation would only grow.” The result of this decision led to a statement being released solely from Catherine’s side, without William’s support.
