SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister of Pakistan says his country will use the capacity of its future membership in the UN Security Council to support Iran.
According to SAEDNEWS, During the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Iran's acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, engaged in meaningful discussions with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Their talks centered around the latest developments in West Asia, along with bilateral relations and various international concerns.
Bagheri expressed appreciation for Pakistan's steadfast support of Iran following recent conflicts involving the Zionist regime, which he described as a direct threat to both Iranian sovereignty and regional security. He noted, "We are witnessing a growing global mobilization, especially within the Islamic world, condemning the actions of the Zionists."
Emphasizing his concerns, Bagheri characterized Israel as a malignant force targeting not only Palestine but posing a risk to the security of all Islamic nations. In response, Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to utilizing its upcoming membership in the UN Security Council to advocate for Iran and strengthen collective efforts against the aggression of the Zionist regime.
Earlier, Dar had meetings with officials from Malaysia and Algeria, as well as discussions with the Secretary General of the OIC, to forge stronger alliances in support of Palestine.
In a separate engagement, Bagheri Kani met with the OIC Secretary General, highlighting Iran's expectation that Islamic countries will advocate for Iran's legitimate rights and legal responses to aggression. He stressed that Iran’s actions would not only safeguard its own sovereignty but also contribute to the stability and security of the entire region.
This dialogue underscores the significance of solidarity among Islamic nations in addressing shared challenges and enhancing diplomatic ties.
