Iranian Foreign Minister: Part of Frozen Assets Unblocked

According to Saednews, Tireless mediation efforts led by Pakistan and Qatar have resulted in significant progress toward ending the war in Lebanon. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in a post on X early Monday, restrictions on oil and petrochemical exports have been eased, the blockade has been lifted, certain frozen assets have been released, and a major reconstruction and development plan has been launched for Iran.

He stressed, however, that the successful implementation of a ceasefire in Lebanon remains essential, describing it as part of a broader memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States.

“The first real test: the Lebanon deconfliction mechanism,” he wrote.

These remarks came as the first round of high-level technical talks between Iran and the United States concluded in Switzerland. Iranian officials said that quadrilateral meetings were suspended following what they described as threatening statements from Washington, although technical-level discussions are set to continue.
