According to SAEDNEWS, In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Iran's Fatemeh Hemmati secured a silver medal in the Women's Individual Compound Open at the 2024 Paralympic Games on Saturday.

Hemmati faced a tough competitor in the final, ultimately falling short against Turkey’s Öznur Cüre Girdi, with a close score of 144-141. This hard-fought battle showcased Hemmati's talent and resilience throughout the tournament.

On her way to the finals, Hemmati had an impressive run, defeating top archers including China's Yueshan Lin, France’s Julie Rigault Chupin, and Britain's Paterson Pine.

Iran is proudly represented in this year's games with a delegation of 65 athletes competing across 10 different sports, highlighting the nation's commitment to excellence in sports and support for its Paralympic athletes.
