First Rabbit Café Opens Its Doors

According to local Polish media, Europe’s first rabbit café has opened in Krakow. True to its name, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee and a dessert while spending time alongside several rabbits. Beyond being a fun destination, the café also pursues an important social and environmental mission: educating the public about rabbits and promoting responsible adoption.

The café, connected to a rabbit sanctuary, provides a 150-square-meter space for the rabbits to play, allowing visitors to observe their natural behaviors. Guests can also learn about proper animal care as well as the responsibilities and benefits of adopting a rabbit.

The café is open Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., although the rabbits rest between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., during which time visitors are asked not to disturb them. To ensure the animals’ well-being, no more than 10 people can be in the play area at the same time, and access to the rabbits’ space follows strict regulations.
