SAEDNEWS: Golestan Economic Security Police Chief Reports Discovery of 425 Antique Items in Gorgan County
According to Saed News’ social affairs service, quoting Hamshahri, Colonel Abbasali Pahlevani Nasab stated that the province’s economic security police, using intelligence insights, successfully identified a location in Gorgan where antique objects were being kept.
The head of Golestan’s economic security police added that, after obtaining legal authorization and with the cooperation of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit, a search of the site led to the discovery of 425 antique items dating back several thousand years.
He noted that one suspect was arrested during the operation and handed over to the relevant authorities.
A few days earlier, in an operation in Gonbad-e Kavus County, police had also seized 142 antique items.
