[PHOTO] Bill Gates Makes Surprise Appearance at Paris Olympics While Son-in-Law Is Competing for Egypt

According to SAEDNEWS, The 2024 Paris Olympics are already making headlines with a star-studded lineup of celebrities just days into the competition, and billionaire Bill Gates is among them.

On Monday, July 29, the Microsoft co-founder, 68, was seen enjoying the artistic gymnastics events, adding his name to the roster of A-listers at the games. Other notable figures spotted at the Olympics include Tom Cruise, Mick Jagger, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, and Celine Dion.

Gates is likely there to cheer on his son-in-law, Nayel Nassar, who is representing Team Egypt in the equestrian events. In January, Gates celebrated Nassar’s 33rd birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post showcasing the equestrian athlete alongside his wife, Jennifer Gates – the eldest of Bill and Melinda French Gates' three children – and their one-year-old daughter, Leila. He captioned the photo, “Happy Birthday, @nayelnassar! It has been so fun spending time with you and watching you become an incredible devoted dad to Leila.”

Nassar and Jennifer tied the knot in October 2021 at a picturesque farm in Westchester County, N.Y. Jennifer, 28, is not only an accomplished equestrian but also a recent Columbia University graduate, earning her master's degree in public health in May 2023.

Nassar, a 2013 graduate of Stanford University with a degree in economics, has previously represented Egypt in the 2012 and 2020 Olympics. The couple began dating in early 2017 and announced their engagement during a ski trip in 2020. They welcomed their daughter, Leila, in March 2023, marking Bill Gates' joyful entry into grandparenthood.
