SAEDNEWS: The annoying squeaking sound that comes from the soles of your shoes while walking is one of the most irritating noises in indoor spaces. With these simple solutions, you can silence your squeaky shoes.
According to Saednews, Nothing can get on your nerves—and the nerves of the people around you—quite like noisy shoes. Things get even worse when you’ve bought the coolest sneakers or sports shoes of the season, picked an outfit to match them, and now, as you walk through a quiet hallway, the only thing you can hear is your shoes squeaking!
So, what can you do about newly purchased shoes that squeak?
The first step is simply to wear your shoes. If they are new, try wearing them a little more. Walking in them may help reduce the noise from the soles. Wear them around the house so they can become quieter before you take them into a hall or other quiet indoor space.

If your shoes have recently become wet, moisture may be trapped between the insole and the bottom of the shoe, causing the squeaking. Remove the insoles and leave the shoes in an open area to dry naturally.
If you are in a hurry, you can use a hair dryer to dry the bottom of the shoes. However, be careful not to use excessive heat, as it could damage or melt parts of the shoe.
Baby powder can also help reduce squeaking. Sprinkle a small amount between the insole and the bottom of the shoe, then spread it around with a cloth. You can also apply a little powder to the sole itself to help eliminate the annoying squeak.

Hairspray is another effective option for reducing squeaky noises. A light application can help make the bottom of the shoe quieter.
If the noise persists, gently rub a piece of sandpaper over the underside of the rubber sole. This slightly changes the texture of the rubber and can help eliminate the unwanted squeaking sound.
