White figs: 400 grams
Sugar: 350 grams
Water: 3 cups
Green cardamom pods: 4
Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon

Add water and sugar to an enamel pot and place it over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
Wash the figs, then add them to the boiling syrup. Allow the figs to cook until they become tender and the jam syrup reaches the desired thickness.
Once the syrup has thickened, add the cardamom and lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.
After cooking for another five minutes, turn off the heat and allow the jam to cool completely in the pot.
Transfer the jam into a clean jar or suitable container and store it in the refrigerator.
It is best to use ripe but firm figs. The figs should not be overly soft or crushed.
Instead of cardamom, you can add one tablespoon of rose water for a different aroma.
If the figs are slightly underripe, increase the sugar amount by 50 grams.
Preparing whole white fig jam at home is simple. By using fresh, firm figs and following the correct cooking process, you can make a flavorful homemade jam with beautiful whole figs and a rich, aromatic syrup.
