The iPhone 20 Concept with Curved Corners Was Unveiled

According to SAEDNEWS, citing Gizmochina, a new video render has been published claiming to show the “iPhone 20,” suggesting that this series could represent one of the biggest design changes in iPhone history.

The YouTube channel “fpt” released a video claiming the device is already in early production stages. Although Apple has not officially confirmed this information, the render combines recent leaks and analysis from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.

The video renders show the iPhone 20 as a nearly edge-less device, with the display glass extending to all four sides. The back panel is also fully glass. The front is shown with the Face ID sensor under the display, and no physical buttons appear on the sides.

What may cause confusion is the naming of the device. If Apple releases the iPhone 18 this year, the 2027 model would normally be called the iPhone 19. However, rumors suggest Apple may name it iPhone 20 to mark the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, similar to how it launched the iPhone X for the 10th anniversary instead of iPhone 9.

The video claims the iPhone 20 will introduce three major design changes. First, slightly curved corners. Reports suggest Apple is working with Samsung to develop a custom OLED panel with gently curved edges. The second major change is the removal of the Dynamic Island, with the front camera and Face ID system fully placed under the display. The third change involves removing physical buttons, replacing them with haptic touch-based controls.

The redesign is also expected to come with major hardware upgrades, including a 2-nanometer Apple A21 chip, a 200-megapixel main camera with improved HDR technology, and silicon-carbon battery technology.

Apple is reportedly working with Samsung and LG to solve display challenges related to the curved corners, particularly brightness loss around the edges.
