According to a report by Saed News, citing Hamshahri, the hidden secrets behind the three mysterious doors inside the Great Pyramid of Giza will finally be uncovered.

The three enigmatic doors of the Great Pyramid of Giza are set to be opened by a prominent archaeologist. Zahi Hawass, the renowned Egyptian archaeologist and former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs, announced that on December 5, he will lead a team of archaeologists in an attempt to uncover the secrets hidden behind these doors.

Hawass described the stone doors as one of the most important discoveries that has left him with many unanswered questions. He said:

“The hidden doors I discovered inside the Great Pyramid are a discovery that raised even more questions. We found three doors inside the Great Pyramid. One of them is located at the southern entrance of the second chamber and has two copper handles. Twenty-one centimeters behind it, we discovered another door, and in the northern tunnel, we found the third door with two copper handles.”

The Mystery of the Great Pyramid’s Hidden Chambers

Several studies have previously been conducted on these doors, but researchers have never been able to determine their purpose or discover what lies behind them. One investigation involved drilling a small hole into the first southern door and sending a camera attached to a robotic probe through it. This led to the discovery of the second door behind it.

Researchers believe there could even be a fourth hidden door behind the northern door, creating a symmetrical design within the pyramid.

Hawass said he hopes that solving the mystery of these doors will reveal one of the Great Pyramid’s secrets for the first time. He emphasized that no one knows where these doors lead, but he is determined to find the answer.

Ancient Mystery of Pharaoh Khufu’s Pyramid

The Great Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or Cheops, was built around 2570 BC as the tomb of Pharaoh Khufu. According to current knowledge, the pyramid contains three main chambers.

One of these chambers is the Queen’s Chamber, where three mysterious doors are located inside two shafts positioned opposite each other.

Hawass previously wrote about these hidden doors in an article for Egypt’s Guardian newspaper. He stated:

“We plan to clean the southern shaft from the outside to determine whether it opens outward. If it does, it may have been a symbolic door for the king’s journey into the afterlife. If it is sealed, we must return to the Westcar Papyrus and examine the story of how Khufu sought the documents of the god Thoth to assist him in the design of the pyramid. Only further research into these shafts can reveal their purpose and solve one of the many mysteries of the Great Pyramid.”

The upcoming exploration may finally provide answers to one of ancient Egypt’s most enduring mysteries.
