SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, has condemned the reported U.S. attack on the Darkhovin nuclear power plant project, calling it a dangerous act of aggression against the country’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure.

According to Saednews, In a statement posted on X on Monday, Iranian official Kazem Gharibabadi condemned the reported US strike on the under-construction Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant, calling it "a dangerous assault on Iran's peaceful infrastructure." He said the United States would be held fully responsible for any consequences resulting from increased regional insecurity and instability.

Gharibabadi stated that Iran strongly denounces the attack and will take the necessary steps to protect its national interests and national security.

His comments followed reports that a US strike targeted the Darkhovin nuclear facility, located in Iran's southwestern Khuzestan Province, where construction is ongoing.

The Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant is one of Iran's key civilian nuclear energy projects and is intended to generate electricity for the country's national power grid.
