Iran FM: Holding the Country’s Adversaries Accountable Is Essential

According to Saednews, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the remarks in an Instagram post featuring his participation and speech at the first international conference on “Ecocide: The Silent War Crime.”

Araghchi said that during his address on Sunday at the inaugural ECOCIDE international conference, held at the headquarters of Iran’s Department of Environment, he had emphasized that environmental destruction during wartime constitutes a silent crime whose consequences extend far beyond the battlefield.

He stated that US and Israeli military strikes against Iran, particularly attacks targeting the country’s oil and energy infrastructure, have created serious environmental risks that could endanger public health, natural resources, and future generations’ right to a healthy environment.

Araghchi stressed that safeguarding the environment against military aggression and ensuring accountability for those responsible for harming Iran’s land and soil are essential, declaring: “We will neither forgive nor forget!”
