SAEDNEWS: Amnesty International has highlighted the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to Saednews, In a statement posted on social media, the human rights organisation Amnesty International said that member states of the International Criminal Court have a legal obligation to detain and surrender Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he enters their territory.

Amnesty International also criticised what it described as the policies and actions of the Netanyahu government related to the expansion of Israeli settlements and alleged serious human rights violations in the West Bank and Gaza.

The organisation reiterated its position that countries belonging to the court should comply with their obligations under international law and the court’s legal framework.
