SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and Khatam al-Anbya Central Headquarters said US President’s hostile statements and repeated threats against Iran, along with his use of the UN platform, are aimed at domestic propaganda rather than reflecting realities on the ground.
According to Saednews, Iranian officials said in a statement that recent remarks by the United States reflect what they described as a strategic deadlock confronting Washington in its campaign of aggression against Iran.
The statement said the repeated use of what it called baseless accusations and threats, particularly amid the alleged exhaustion of the US military, should be viewed not as a sign of strength but as an indication of strategic desperation.
It further asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently played a role as a pillar of regional security, particularly with regard to international and commercial trade. By contrast, the statement accused the United States of becoming a source of threats, insecurity and instability through what it described as an illegitimate and aggressive military presence in West Asia.
According to the statement, Washington has also sought to compensate for what Tehran described as successive failures in its actions against Iran and its alleged maritime piracy by placing pressure on the global economy.
The statement added that rhetoric from the US president would not change the balance of power, nor could it reverse what Iranian officials described as the United States' declining position in the emerging international order or its defeats in the conflict involving Iran and the Resistance Front.
Iran's statement also stressed that the country's Armed Forces remain fully prepared to respond to what it described as further aggression. Drawing on the experience of the eight-year Iran-Iraq War, known in Iran as the Sacred Defense, as well as subsequent conflicts, the statement said Iran's military is prepared to deliver what it called more severe, decisive and unpredictable responses to aggressors and to the leaders of the United States and Israel.
The statement linked those threats to what it described as responsibility for the deaths of the Ummah's martyred Imam, schoolchildren in Minab and Lamerd, and other Iranian martyrs.
It concluded by saying that, God willing, Iran's president would convey the message of the Iranian people and Armed Forces, along with what the statement described as the strength of a powerful and resilient Iran, to the international community at the United Nations General Assembly.
