Trump to American Farmers: "Would You Like to Go to Iran?!" / Trump Makes New Claim About Iran's Frozen Assets

According to Saed News Political Desk, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed during a dinner with American farmers at the White House Rose Garden on Thursday evening (local time) that Iran could become a new market for American agricultural products. He said the United States would sell "large quantities of wheat, soybeans, and corn" to Iran.

Trump, while expressing optimism about future negotiations, asserted that Iran is eager to reach an agreement with the United States and suggested that such a deal is likely to be achieved.

Addressing the audience of American farmers, Trump said that Iran could represent a significant new export market for U.S. agriculture. He described Iran as "a beautiful place" and asked attendees whether anyone would like to visit the country.

The U.S. president further claimed that Iran is facing food shortages and said that funds associated with Iran would be used to purchase substantial amounts of American wheat, soybeans, and corn. He added that this process would begin soon and described it as a major opportunity for U.S. farmers.

Trump's remarks come despite recent statements from the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who said during a press briefing that Iran will decide independently how to use any released assets in accordance with its national interests. The spokesperson added that decisions regarding the purchase of goods are made by the Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant authorities based on factors such as price and quality, emphasizing that there are no restrictions on sourcing products from different suppliers.
