SAEDNEWS: Learn how to perform the special prayer of Hazrat Abbas to seek the fulfillment of seemingly impossible wishes. This guide explains the recommended method, the most suitable time for reciting this prayer, and the proper etiquette of Tawassul (seeking intercession) to Bab al-Hawaij (the one who fulfills needs).
According to Saednews, The phrase “Kun Fayakun” means “Be, and it is” and is mentioned in several verses of the Holy Quran. The prayer known as the Kon Fayakun Prayer of Hazrat Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS) is given this title because, according to religious narrations and reported experiences, seeking intercession through this blessed prayer is believed to help bring about the acceptance of prayers and the fulfillment of wishes by the permission of God.
In this article, the method of performing the Kon Fayakun Prayer attributed to Hazrat Abbas (AS) for marriage and difficult wishes is explained step by step.
The most recommended time for performing this prayer is said to be Friday morning at sunrise. However, some narrations also recommend performing this spiritually significant prayer on Thursday night (the night before Friday) after the evening prayer (Isha) or on Wednesday.
The instructions for this prayer are mentioned in Mafatih al-Jinan. According to the traditional method, one should make the intention to perform this prayer three times. Two prayers are performed immediately, while the third is kept as a vow (nadhr) until the wish is fulfilled. After the prayer is answered, the third prayer should be performed as promised.
The method is as follows:
After making the intention, perform a two-rak‘ah prayer, similar to the morning (Fajr) prayer.
In each rak‘ah, after reciting Surah Al-Fatiha and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Tawhid), repeat the phrase:
“Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum”
(O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining)
100 times.
After completing the prayer and saying the final salutations (salam), recite the Tasbihat of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA).
Then send 100 salutations (salawat) upon Hazrat Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS).
A salawat attributed to the late Ayatollah Sayyid Abdul Karim Kashmiri is also recommended:
“Allahumma salli ‘ala al-Abbas al-Shahid.”
(O Allah, send blessings upon Abbas, the martyr.)
Next, point the index finger of the right hand toward the direction of the Qiblah and repeat the following phrase 100 times:
“As-salamu ‘alayka ya Abal-Fadl Abbas, alayhis-salam.”
(Peace be upon you, O Abu al-Fadl Abbas.)
Finally, place your head in prostration (sajdah), raise both hands above your head, and say 25 times:
“Ilahi, bi-yaday Abal-Fadl al-Abbas…”
(O my Lord, by the two severed hands of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas…)
Then ask Hazrat Abbas (AS) for your need and request the fulfillment of your wish.
Kon Fayakun Prayer of Hazrat Abbas (AS) for Marriage
Besides the commonly narrated method, another form of the Kon Fayakun Prayer of Hazrat Abbas (AS) is also reported, especially for seeking ease and blessings in marriage matters.
This version consists of four rak‘ahs. In each rak‘ah, after reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, a specific supplication is repeated:
After Surah Al-Fatiha, recite 100 times:
“Wa ufawwidu amri ilallah.”
(I entrust my affair to Allah.)
After Surah Al-Fatiha, recite 100 times:
“Nasrun minallahi wa fathun qarib.”
(Help from Allah and a near victory.)
After Surah Al-Fatiha, recite 100 times:
“Ala ilallahi tasirul umur.”
(Indeed, all affairs return to Allah.)
After Surah Al-Fatiha, recite 100 times:
“Inna fatahna laka fathan mubina.”
(Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory.)
After completing the prayer and saying salam, do not speak to anyone before reciting the following 100 times:
“Astaghfirullaha Rabbi wa atubu ilayh.”
(I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, and I repent to Him.)
Finally, perform prostration and ask Almighty God for the fulfillment of your wish.
