SAEDNEWS: Three tankers carrying fuel reportedly changed course and turned back while traveling through the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday. The vessels altered their routes after receiving a warning from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.

According to Saednews, The three tankers involved were VELOS AMBER, BRAVO, and AL SHEEHANIYA. AL SHEEHANIYA, a Qatari LNG carrier, turned back after entering the southern route following a warning from the IRGC Navy.

Maritime tracking data also confirmed the presence of VELOS AMBER and AL SHEEHANIYA in the area. The incident indicates that the vessels’ attempt to transit the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz led, at least for now, to a change in course and a return.
