Women Who Revealed the Ethical Scandals of Global Politicians

According to Saednews, Various media outlets have repeatedly reported allegations of moral and sexual misconduct involving major political figures around the world. Over the past years, well-known American political personalities have also faced accusations related to extramarital or inappropriate relationships.

Boris Johnson

The emergence of scandals involving British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is one of the most recent examples of such controversies. At the end of last month, The Sunday Times reported that Johnson’s office, during his tenure as Mayor of London, allocated tens of thousands of pounds of public funds to a relatively inexperienced contractor who was also a close friend. It was also claimed that Johnson frequently visited her apartment during working hours. This case brought attention to Johnson’s relationship with Jennifer Arcuri, an American entrepreneur. The revelations raised questions regarding government support and her participation in official trade missions abroad.

Johnson is currently under investigation by the London Assembly. Although both the current UK Prime Minister and the American model involved have denied the allegations, they have not provided clear answers regarding claims of inappropriate relations. At the same time, amid the growing Brexit crisis, Johnson has also faced accusations of sexual harassment from a former colleague dating back around 20 years, who is now a columnist for The Times.

According to Sputnik, the British Prime Minister is not the only politician accused of inappropriate relationships with women; many political figures before him have faced similar accusations.

Donald Trump

The President of the United States is often cited among politicians with a long history of alleged extramarital affairs and sexual misconduct scandals. He has been accused of paying hush money to former mistresses, including Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress, and Karen McDougal, a model. Both women have acknowledged having relationships with Trump in the late 2000s while he was married.

It is reported that Trump arranged payments through his lawyer Michael Cohen to silence these women ahead of the 2016 presidential election. These payments later became part of investigations involving impeachment proceedings initiated by Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives. Similar sexual misconduct scandals have been reported involving other U.S. presidents as well.

Brett Kavanaugh

The U.S. Supreme Court nominee appointed by Donald Trump was also accused of sexual misconduct. In September, three women accused him of sexual harassment, with allegations dating back to the 1980s during his high school years.

Roy Moore

The chief judge of the Alabama Supreme Court was accused by several women of sexual misconduct, some of which reportedly occurred during his teenage years. Although these allegations did not lead to legal prosecution, they triggered widespread public controversy.

Mark Sanford

Long before the rise of the anti–sexual violence movement, the Republican governor of South Carolina faced controversy involving a woman. In June 2009, during his third year in office, he disappeared for six days, which quickly drew media attention. He later admitted to having a relationship with a 43-year-old divorced Argentine woman. The scandal forced him to resign from his position as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, although he remained governor of South Carolina.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn

The former head of the International Monetary Fund was arrested in May 2011 at John F. Kennedy Airport. A hotel housekeeper in New York accused him of sexual assault and attempted rape. The case severely damaged his career and led to his resignation from the IMF. Reports also alleged previous inappropriate behavior toward women in professional settings.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

The famous Hollywood actor known for The Terminator series also became involved in political-sexual scandal allegations. He was accused of inappropriate behavior toward multiple women between the 1970s and 2000s in film studios and professional environments. Schwarzenegger later apologized for some of his conduct. In 2003, shortly after becoming Governor of California, the Los Angeles Times reported that six women had accused him of misconduct over a period of more than 20 years. In 2011, it was also revealed that he had fathered a child with a household employee.
