According to SAEDNEWS, citing Hamshahri and Turkish media, Istanbul police were informed of trafficking, prostitution, and child abuse activities. The complaint revealed that Ozgar, the brother of Nusret Gökçe, the famous Turkish chef and restaurateur, was involved in these activities.

According to reports, the case is being investigated by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Küçükçekmece district and the Organized Crime and Terrorism Unit. As part of the investigation, a large-scale operation was carried out against a network linked to trafficking and child abuse, during which several individuals were arrested.

Judicial authorities stated that after examining the mobile phones of the suspects, new information was obtained about a network involved in introducing individuals and coordinating prostitution-related activities. This information led to a second phase of the operation.

In this phase, seven more individuals were arrested and transferred to prison, while six others were released under judicial supervision. Among those detained, the name of Ozgar Gökçe has been مطرح as one of the main suspects.

Reports also indicate that he had previously been interrogated in a separate case related to drugs and prostitution. In that case, he was accused of introducing individuals to each other and gaining financial benefits from it, but he was released after questioning.

The prosecutor’s office announced that investigations are ongoing and that the number of suspects may increase. Financial and digital connections of those involved are also being examined to clarify the full scope of the network.

Due to its connection with a well-known figure in the restaurant industry, the case has received wide media coverage in Turkey. However, judicial authorities have emphasized that the process is being conducted independently and based on evidence.
