According to Saed News’ society section, Ms. Bruton had initially planned to bake a cake using this unusual egg. However, one of her friends told her that such an event happens “one in a billion” and suggested she sell the egg instead—especially since someone had previously sold a similar egg for £90.
The buyer of the egg remains anonymous, but reportedly paid £480 for it. It seems unlikely that they intend to fry it for breakfast. Instead, the egg may become a decorative piece or part of the buyer’s collection.
